Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Construction Inspector I in Virginia to support bridges, roadways, and environmental projects. You will perform on-site inspections, verify compliance with codes and plans, and document findings daily for project teams in multiple VA locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year in field or related training in construction inspection or materials testing.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Must read/write/speak English fluently.
• Valid State Driver's License with clean record.
• Ability to pass fingerprint/background check.
• Construction field materials testing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and monitors construction sites to verify adherence to standards, codes, and specifications.
• Prepares and submits daily inspection reports.
• Assists in contract change orders and pay estimates.
• Verifies lines and grades of project improvements.
• Coordinates and performs field testing of materials as required.
• Communicates with contractors, owners, and stakeholders.
• Acts as on-site Administrator in absence of the Administrator.
