Job summary

National Association of Women in Construction seeks Construction Inspectors to support large heavy civil programs across highways, bridges, transit, airports, and water facilities. Focus is field verification, confirming installed work matches plans and documenting daily site activities.

Candidates bring 5+ years of inspection experience, knowledge of codes, ability to read drawings, and proficiency with industry reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction-related field.
• Strong reading/interpreting of drawings, submittals and shop drawings.
• Experience with industry standard field reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect installed work for conformance with plans and specs.
• Document daily construction activity, including photos and measurements.
• Verify materials against submittals and data, reject nonconforming items.
• Coordinate and witness field and laboratory testing and track results.
• Identify safety concerns and report to the resident engineer promptly.
• Monitor traffic control and site safety within the work area.
