Job summary

Luster National is seeking Construction Inspectors at various skill levels to support major civil projects across highways, bridges, transit, airports, and water facilities. You will verify on-site work matches plans, document daily activities, and catch issues early to keep projects on track.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years in heavy-civil inspection, with strong reading of drawings and proficiency in field reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering technology, civil engineering, or related field, or equivalent combo
• 5+ years of construction inspection experience for large >$500M projects
• Experience inspecting civil/structural, mechanical/plumbing, or electrical construction
• Knowledge of construction means/methods, codes, testing/acceptance
• Experience preparing daily inspection reports and nonconformance docs
• Ability to read construction drawings/submittals/shop drawings
• Experience with field reporting software (Kahua, Unifier, e-Builder)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Inspect installed work for conformance with plans, specs, permits, codes
• Document daily construction activity with photos and records
• Verify materials on delivery against submittals and reject nonconforming material
• Coordinate and witness field and lab testing; track results and actions
• Identify nonconforming work and safety concerns; report to engineer
• Measure and record pay quantities for payment
• Verify survey layout and as-built docs against plans
• Monitor traffic control and site safety; report deviations
• Coordinate inspection coverage with contractors and agencies
• Inspect work around live operations to avoid service interruption
• Support punch lists, testing, startup verification, and closeout
