Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking Construction Inspectors for our Newburgh, NY office to support transportation, bridge, utility, and municipal projects. The role involves field inspections, documenting work, and ensuring compliance with NYSDOT standards while collaborating with clients and contractors.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 2+ years of inspection experience, and preferred NICET II or civil engineering degree.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of construction inspection experience preferred.
• NICET II certification or civil engineering degree preferred.
• Knowledge of federally aided transportation projects preferred.
• Experience with NYSDOT or municipal clients preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilités

• Inspect bridge and highway construction projects; measure quantities; document work with daily reports, photos, and sketches.
• Oversee and coordinate documentation of construction inspection.
• Ensure work complies with NYSDOT specifications.
• Apply project plans, company policies, and standards to the work; make decisions.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate with all project stakeholders.
• Coordinate on-site activities and resolve field issues.
