Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking Construction Inspectors in Buffalo, NY to perform field inspection on bridge and highway projects. You will document work, measure quantities, and ensure compliance with NYSDOT specifications while coordinating with clients, contractors, and agencies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid US driver's license, and prior inspection experience; NICET II or civil engineering degree equivalents are preferred. This is a full-time field position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NICET II certification preferred.
• Associate degree in engineering technology and/or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred.
• Valid US driver’s license required.
• Experience with NYSDOT or municipal projects preferred.
• Familiarity with MURK preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction inspection for bridge/highway projects including measurement, documentation with daily reports, photos, and sketches.
• Oversee and coordinate documentation of field inspection.
• Ensure work complies with NYSDOT specs.
• Apply project plans and company policies to field work.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate with all project stakeholders.
• Coordinate site activities and resolve on-site issues.
