Job summary
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Inspector in Buffalo, NY to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection team. You will inspect bridge and highway projects, document work, and ensure compliance with NYSDOT specifications while coordinating with clients, contractors, and agencies to deliver infrastructure improvements.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of inspection experience, a NICET II or higher (or a civil engineering degree), and a valid US
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years construction engineering/inspection experience required.
- NICET II certification or higher; or a bachelors degree in civil engineering required.
- Valid US driver's license required.
- Experience with NYSDOT or municipal projects preferred.
- Strong communication and attention to detail; team oriented.
- Proficient with computers and project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Inspect bridge and highway construction projects; measure quantities and document work.
- Oversee and coordinate project inspection documentation.
- Ensure work complies with NYSDOT specifications.
- Apply project plans, company policies, standards and specifications.
- Maintain project documentation and communicate with all project levels.
- Coordinate site activities and resolve on-site issues.
