Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection team in Maine. The role involves fieldwork across bridge and highway projects, documenting work, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1+ years’ experience, ACI/NETTCP certifications, OSHA 10, and a valid US driver’s license. Compensation ranges from $26 to $35 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of construction engineering/inspection experience.
• ACI and/or NETTCP paving certifications required.
• 10-hour OSHA certification required.
• Knowledge of federally aided transportation projects is a plus.
• Experience with MaineDOT or municipal clients is preferred.
• Valid US driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the construction inspection of bridge and/or highway construction projects.
• Measure and calculate quantities, and document work with daily work reports, photos, and sketches.
• Oversee and coordinate documentation of construction inspection.
• Ensures work is completed in accordance with standard specifications.
• Apply project plans, along with company policies, guidelines, standards, specifications to the work and make decisions.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate with individuals at all levels of the project.
• Coordinate activities on the project site and resolve problems related to the work.
