Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, quality control, and safety support on client projects. The role is 100% in-field, with supervision from the site construction lead and potential work from field or office as needed.

The position emphasizes coordination with subcontractors, adherence to drawings, and preparation of daily/quality reports while ensuring progress aligns with the project schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience; degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the field lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality controls, and drawing conformance.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings.
• Ensure work adheres to the project schedule and escalate delays.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review and records.
• Takes progress photographs and labels each one.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Verify use of latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• Provide support to Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May supervise key trades or subcontractors to support the project.
