Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, estimating and quality control on client projects. The role is 100% in the field with duties spanning daily reports, scheduling, safety adherence and coordination with subcontractors.

Candidates should have a construction management or engineering background and experience in field operations, drawing conformance, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist the site construction lead with scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, drawings conformance, and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to drawings.
• Maintain project schedules and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs and label them for records.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure latest design revisions are used.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with the Project Manager.
• Maintain clear correspondence with project management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records per The Perry Group document control requirements.
