Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking a skilled Construction Operations Specialist to join a Phoenix project site in Arizona. You will coordinate field operations, manage daily reporting, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance with drawings and schedules.

Responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, maintaining on-site records, preparing daily and quality inspection reports, and supporting progress payments and contract extras with the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of construction or field operations experience.
• Associate degree with 6 years of construction or field operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline with 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field operations with site construction lead, including project scheduling, daily reporting, quality control, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings and specifications.
• Ensure adherence to project schedule and escalate potential or actual delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review and approval as official project records.
• Maintain on-site records and ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision.
• Assist Project Construction Manager with Monthly Progress Reports and contract extras.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent with nine years of experience

Associate degree with six years of experience

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline with three years of experience
