Job summary

Austin Industries, Inc. is hiring an entry-level Construction Field Supervisor to assist the assistant superintendent and superintendent with day-to-day field activities on the Austin jobsite in Texas.

You will review records, submittals, shop drawings and schematics, help plan the jobsite layout, coordinate safety, monitor progress and costs, and support field engineers to deliver quality work on schedule. Qualifications include a B.S.

Qualifications

• BS in construction management/science, engineering or related field or, in lieu of college degree, 4 years of commercial construction trade experience.
• Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year of employment).
• Entry level position

Responsibilities

• Reviews record documents, submittals, shop drawings, and schematics to determine the nature and scope of the project, the materials to be utilized, manpower requirements for each construction phase, equipment needs.
• Plans the daily and weekly activities for each craft, including detailed schedule forecasts, within the scope of the overall construction schedule and provides detailed technical instructions for each foreman.
• In charge of the overall safety of the jobsite, including the implementation of the safety plans and procedures.
• Manages the scheduling of all governmental inspections of all work necessary to obtain a certificate of occupancy
• Maintains a detailed and accurate daily report of all activity associated with field construction activities
