Mobile Communications America, Inc. (MCA) is seeking a Communication Systems Technician in the Tallahassee, FL area to support our MSS division. The role involves installing, programming, and maintaining wireless communications equipment for mission-critical customers.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Electronics, IT, or applicable subject is preferred.
• Minimum two years experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Installing, programming, and maintaining complex communication equipment to get customers up and running.
• Fixing the system and bringing communications back online for public safety, hospitals, utilities, manufacturing, and other mission-critical customers.
• Designing and upgrading customer systems to the latest technologies and solutions.
• Assisting and collaborating with the team, the Service Manager, and the customer.
• Willingness to learn and be mentored on new communications technology.
• Completing assigned tickets properly and on time.
• Making minor modifications to electronic circuitry and deploying firmware updates.
• Serving in an on-call rotation with 24/7 technical support.
