Job summary

Mobile Communications America in Waycross, GA is seeking an experienced Communication Systems Technician to install, program, and maintain complex wireless equipment for public safety and critical infrastructure.

You will troubleshoot, upgrade systems, and work with a team including the Service Manager to ensure on-time ticket completion, 24/7 support, and safe operation in diverse environments. Prior two-year electronics/IT education and valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

Two+ years of experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
Strong teamwork and customer-focused mindset.
Proven communication skills for end users and third parties.

Responsibilities

Install, program, and maintain complex communication equipment to get customers up and running.
Troubleshoot and restore communications for public safety, hospitals, utilities, and other critical customers.
Design and upgrade customer systems with latest technologies.
Collaborate with Service Manager and customers.
Be willing to learn new communications technologies and receive mentorship.
Complete assigned tickets properly and on time.
Make minor electronics modifications per customer requests and deploy firmware updates.
Serve in an on-call rotation and provide 24/7 technical support.
