Job summary

ECNS Global Consultants PLLC is seeking a Commissioning Engineer I–III to support commissioning, testing, startup, and turnover of electrical power systems. Travel up to 100% and onsite collaboration with clients and project teams are expected.

The role requires a bachelor’s or higher in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited) and progressive experience in electrical testing and commissioning. PE license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 1-3 years for Engineer I; 3+ years for Engineer II; 7+ years for Engineer III.
• FE certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience with commissioning, testing, startup of utility or industrial systems.
• Strong knowledge of protection and control systems and codes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support commissioning, testing, startup and turnover for electrical power systems.
• Develop procedures and test plans for MV/LV systems, generators, UPS, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot issues to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Coordinate activities with clients, contractors, vendors and project teams.
• Manage scope, schedules and budgets, delivering commissioning deliverables.
• Lead field testing and oversee execution with safety and quality compliance.
• Prepare commissioning reports and documentation.
• Engineer III: mentor junior engineers and commissioning staff.
