Job summary

ECNS GLOBAL CONSULTANTS, PLLC is seeking Commissioning Engineers I–III to support commissioning, testing, startup, and turnover of electrical power systems with MV/LV equipment, generators, UPS, and switchgear. You will develop procedures, test plans, and documentation while coordinating with clients, contractors, and project teams.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years (I), 3+ years (II), or 7+ years (III) of experience, FE/PE credentials preferred, and a strong ability to troubleshoot and ensure

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited EE degree (B.S. or M.S.).
• Experience in commissioning, testing, startup, or power systems engineering.
• FE certification preferred for II; PE license preferred for III.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support commissioning, testing, startup, and turnover activities for electrical power systems and equipment.
• Develop and perform commissioning procedures, test plans, and documentation for MV/LV systems, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient system operation.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and commissioning deliverables commensurate with experience level.
• Lead field testing activities, oversee commissioning execution, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test records, and project documentation.
• Commissioning Engineer III: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and commissioning personnel, as appropriate.
