Job summary

Symbotic seeks an Integration Specialist I to startup, commission, and test PLC-controlled equipment at customer sites. You will work with electrical technicians to bring up control cabinets, load PLC software, and run tests to confirm performance.

Responsibilities include assisting in HMI/PLC startup, diagnosing hardware/software issues, and ensuring full system integration with client WMS interfaces while traveling up to 75% and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years in PLC systems, robotics, or industrial networks with hands-on hardware.
• Reading electrical drawings and basic SQL knowledge required.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems; motion control a plus.
• Teamwork in a field-based, remote role with up to 75% travel; valid driver's license required.
• Must follow safety protocols; PPE use on construction sites; own a credit card for expenses.

Responsibilities

• Assist startup, commissioning and testing of PLC-controlled equipment at customer sites.
• Coordinate with hardware technicians to bring up control cabinets and load PLC software.
• Perform system tests and verify integration with customer WMS interfaces.
• Use diagnostic tools and document issues with guidance from senior staff.
• Support SOW tasks such as control cabinet startup, software loading and performance validation.
• Collaborate with engineering, software and customer support to ensure smooth commissioning.
