Job summary

Symbotic, based in Wilmington, MA, seeks a Project Engineer to install, commission, and test PLC-controlled equipment at customer sites. You will work with electrical technicians to bring up control cabinets, load PLC software, and verify system performance, serving as the onsite commissioning lead.

Travel up to 75% to client locations, collaborate with Software, Engineering and ICS teams, and help standardize commissioning processes while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical/mechanical engineering or automated production management, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with PLC (Allen Bradley) and robotics (ABB/Fanuc).
• Experience with motion control equipment (VFDs) and remote diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite commissioning and testing with electrical technicians.
• Coordinate across departments and update Jira with progress.
• Audit third-party work to ensure compliance with processes.
• Run weekly training and update documentation.
• Travel up to 75% to client sites.
