Job summary

Horace Mann is seeking an Agency Consultant to lead, coach, and develop new agents as they build successful, sustainable agencies in local markets. This field leadership role requires hands-on coaching, sales execution, and performance management to accelerate growth and profitability.

You will work side-by-side with agents, develop business plans, and partner with recruiting to support transitions from recruitment to agency launch, traveling approximately 80% to agent markets across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• 3+ years of field sales, agency, sales leadership, or business consulting experience.
• Active Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses.
• A securities license may be required.
• Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach new agents to build successful, sustainable agencies.
• Develop agency business plans with goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
• Coach through early agency development and establish repeatable sales processes.
• Partner with recruiting to support transitions from recruiting to agency launch.
• Collaborate across Horace Mann functions to provide resources and support.
