Job summary

Kennametal is seeking a CNC Machinist Sales and Application Engineer in Virginia. The role blends machining knowledge with consultative sales, driving tool sales growth by managing customer relationships and providing technical direction.

A company vehicle is provided with a base salary plus bonus, and benefits start day 1. The position is field-focused, with 80% travel within the state and a home-office setup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related cnc machining industry experience
• Experience in technical sales and/or application support preferred
• Ability to tailor solutions to customer needs

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed revenue targets by delivering metal-cutting solutions and meeting customer objectives
• Generate, qualify, and manage leads and new customer accounts
• Manage the full sales process from prospecting to closing and pricing
• Develop and execute strategic territory plans to hit revenue goals
• Provide pre-sales technical and commercial responses and demos
• Maintain CRM records for a healthy sales pipeline
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure positive customer experience
• Conduct online/onsite demonstrations and pre-sales workshops
• Represent Kennametal at trade shows and events
• Deliver cost-saving recommendations based on customer needs
