Job summary

Thompson Engineering seeks qualified Construction Materials Testing Technicians to oversee field testing and inspection activities on active construction sites. Travel across multi-states to various job sites may be required to ensure project specifications are met.

Ideal candidates will have at least six months of testing experience, an ACI Level I Certification, Nuclear Gauge Certification, and a valid driver's license. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing using a 40‑pound nuclear density gauge.
• Obtain concrete samples from ready‑mix trucks and prepare cylinders.
• Conduct concrete testing and transport samples to the lab for analysis.
• Collect and deliver soil samples to the laboratory and document data.
• Maintain daily field diaries and submit reports to Team Leader.
