Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Materials Technician to join our West Texas team, performing field tests and inspections on major infrastructure projects. You will travel to remote sites, work long hours, and contribute to quality control and safety programs, handling soil, concrete, and density testing with proper safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years CMT experience, nuclear density gauge familiarity, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years CMT experience with field testing.
• Nuclear density gauge operation training and HAZMAT certification preferred.
• Experience with concrete testing and quality control.
• Ability to lift and transport testing equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to West Texas projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction-related field testing and inspections per CMT Manager/Senior Engineer.
• Travel to West Texas sites; potential overnight/weekend work.
• Conduct soil density testing with a nuclear gauge and follow safety policies.
• Perform in-place concrete testing and document results electronically.
• Support project quality, scope, schedule, and safety objectives.
