Job summary

Renishaw CGPD seeks a CMM Field Service Technician to install, calibrate, and support coordinate measuring machine control systems at customer sites and with integrators. You will travel regionally, potentially up to 100%, and work with diverse industries including aerospace, automotive, defense, medical devices, and advanced manufacturing.

You will receive extensive training on metrology systems and join a global team dedicated to quality, innovation, and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology or equivalent hands-on field service experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, and schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and general computer systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively managing priorities and travel schedules.
• This position may require the use and access to ITAR controlled data to comply with U.S. export control laws.
• Preferred experience servicing, calibrating, or repairing Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Background in metrology, quality control, manufacturing, inspection, or precision measurement environments.

Responsibilities

• Onsite installation, calibration, and certification of new coordinate measuring machines.
• Onsite/Remote technical and commercial support of CGPD product line to customers, direct sales force and distributors.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and system performance issues.
• Maintain compliance with Renishaw quality procedures and service standards to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Assist in preparation and supporting trade shows, exhibitions, and open houses.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
