Job summary

Nakupuna Companies is recruiting a full-time Civil Engineer to join our DoWEA Team. The engineer will conduct comprehensive assessments of campus infrastructure across 45 educational campuses, evaluating stormwater, utilities, roadways, bridges, and retaining structures, with extensive travel to U.S.

military installations in the Pacific region. The role requires a PE license or EIT, ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, and at least five years of field assessment experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five years of documented experience conducting engineering site infrastructure assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Facility Condition Assessments on institutional site infrastructure using SMS BUILDER methodology.
  • Enter collected data, condition ratings, and quantities into E-SMS within 90 days of each site visit.
  • Verify and document DoWEA Real Property information and capture geospatial photos with metadata.
  • Track below-ground assets and reconcile with property records; support FUS site feature updates.
  • Document deficiencies and estimate life cycle/renewal needs based on age and maintenance history.
