Job summary

Nakupuna Companies is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer to join our DoWEA Team. The role covers site infrastructure assessments across 45 educational campuses, including stormwater, utilities, roadways, and bridges, with travel to 21 military installations in the Pacific region.

Candidates should hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering (ABET) with at least five years' experience; PE or EIT preferred. U.S. citizenship and willingness to deploy to multiple U.S. installations are required.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating complex civil site infrastructure including pavement networks, retaining walls, and utility distribution for institutional and commercial facilities.
• Familiarity with the USACE BUILDER Condition Assessment Guide methodology.
• Ability to estimate material quantities and accurately tag geospatial data for Real Property Inventory reconciliation.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) of institutional site infrastructure.
• Enter collected civil infrastructure data and quantities into the Enterprise Sustainment Management System (E-SMS) within 90 days of site visits.
• Verify DoWEA Real Property Information and capture geospatial photos with latitude/longitude metadata.
• Note differences in utilities and below-ground assets against host installation records for reconciliation.
• Support Facility Utilization Surveys (FUS) by updating site features located within site property lines.
• Document deficiencies (Amber/Red) with comments and photos; help determine renewal needs.
