Job summary

Nakupuna Services LLC is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to join the DoWEA Team. The role will evaluate structural integrity and building envelope stability for DoWEA educational facilities, including 45 campuses across 21 U.S. military installations in the Pacific region.

Travel is required for on-site assessments. Qualifications include a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited) and 5+ years of relevant experience. PE/SE license is preferred; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of five years evaluating reinforced concrete, structural steel, mass timber, and building envelope stability in seismically active or typhoon-prone environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) on institutional facilities to identify foundation settlement and seismic bracing conditions.
• Enter collected data into E-SMS within 90 days of each site visit.
• Document deficiencies with photos and comments for DAM upload.
• Verify facility floor plans and track GSF discrepancies and changes to structural configurations.
