Job summary

Solenis LLC in Oregon seeks a Chemical Support Engineer to be the primary technical resource for the district, ensuring treatment chemicals and equipment are applied safely, effectively, and cost-efficiently across customer sites. You will collaborate with Sales Account Managers to design, implement, and optimize treatment programs within the pulp and paper industry.

Responsibilities include routine service visits, technical support during sales, maintaining records, and proposing improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or equivalent, including 10+ years of related experience.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and manage non-routine issues.
• Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of industrial processes or ability to learn quickly.
• Results-driven with proactive problem solving.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint (MS Office).
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Experience with laboratory testing, pumps, pipefitting and electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine service visits and testing to ensure safe and effective treatment programs.
• Provide technical support and pre-sales expertise to customers and the sales team.
• Maintain service records, update databases, and prepare weekly reports.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues at customer sites and communicate findings to teams.
• Contribute technically to proposals, projects and customer documentation.
• Analyze program performance and recommend improvements.
• Participate in on-call weekend rotation as needed.
