Job summary

Solenis LLC in Lewiston, ID seeks a Chemical Support Engineer to be the primary technical resource for the district, ensuring treatment chemicals and equipment are applied safely, effectively, and cost‑efficiently across customer sites. You will collaborate with Sales Account Managers to design and optimize programs in the pulp and paper industry.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering (or 10+ years of equivalent experience), strong problem-solving and customer-relations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to solve complex and non-routine technical problems.
• Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of industrial processes and ability to learn industry-specific applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine service visits and testing of treatment programs.
• Provide technical pre-sales support to customers and the sales team.
• Maintain accurate service records and prepare weekly reports.
• Troubleshoot issues at customer sites and develop corrective actions.
• Provide input for proposals and identify growth opportunities within accounts.
• Analyze treatment program data and recommend improvements.
• Monitor and inspect feed equipment.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and development.
