Job summary

CDM Smith's CEI team is seeking a candidate to inspect and monitor construction activities at project sites. This on-site field position offers exposure across multiple locations including Pittsburgh, Lisle, and the Southeast/Mid-Atlantic regions.

The Inspector will perform complex and routine inspections of roadways, bridges and drainage, review drawings, and document results for the supervisor. A valid driver’s license and travel 20–40% are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• 6 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Certifications from ACI or NICET as required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Use inspection equipment and perform calculations for construction inspection.
• Work under suitable supervision based on assignment knowledge.
• Review drawings to prepare for inspections.
• Document results and communicate findings to supervisor.
