CDM Smith's CEI team seeks an inspector to perform complex highway construction inspections at project sites across multiple states, including roadway, bridges, drainage and erosion control. On-site work and travel are required.

The role requires reading plans, documenting results, and communicating findings to supervision, with emphasis on safety, quality, and compliance with plans and specifications. Travel up to 40% may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• ACI/NICET certifications in earthwork/asphalt/concrete if required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 6 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsabilités

• Perform complex and routine inspections to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Use equipment and perform calculations for construction inspection.
• Work under supervision appropriate to assignment knowledge.
• Review drawings to prepare for inspections.
• Document and communicate inspection results to supervisor.
