Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Inspector to join the CEI team for on-site construction inspection across multiple project locations in the United States. The role requires inspecting roadway, bridges, drainage, erosion and control, and maintenance/traffic works with supervision based on assignment complexity.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, relevant certifications if required, and a valid driver’s license, with travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• State Highway Agency or NICET/ACI certifications in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete may be required by the client or jurisdiction.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• 6 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine construction inspections to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Use advanced equipment and perform complex calculations for inspections.
• Work under limited or direct supervision depending on assignment knowledge.
• Review drawings to prepare for construction inspection.
• Document and communicate inspection results to the supervisor.
