Job summary

CDM Smith's CEI team seeks a candidate to inspect and monitor construction activities at project sites, including roadways, bridges, and drainage. The inspector will perform complex inspections, read construction plans, and report results, often with limited supervision, across multiple locations.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and related certifications or experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State highway agency or NICET certification if required by the client.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 6 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections to evaluate materials and processes meet plans and specifications.
• Uses high-grade equipment and performs complex calculations for inspection.
• Work under supervision depending on the assignment.
• Review drawings to prepare for inspection.
• Document and communicate inspection results to supervisor.
