Job summary

CorVel Corporation is seeking a registered nurse to serve as a Field (Medical) Case Manager in the Fairfax, VA area. The role is heavy on local travel with work-from-home options and on-the-road duties Monday–Friday.

You will collaborate with patients, families, providers, and other team members to facilitate recovery and determine appropriate care plans. The position requires active RN licensure, strong communication, and the ability to travel to assigned locations.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of operation.
• CCM/CIRS or other case management certifications preferred.
• Experience as an RN Case Manager or clinical background in relevant fields preferred.
• Willingness to travel to assigned locations is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to injured workers and stakeholders.
• Discuss treatment plans with physicians and discuss alternatives.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress and care plans.
• Travel locally up to approximately 60% of the time; may require overnight travel.
