Job summary

GR Metrology is seeking a Scale Service Technician to provide calibration, maintenance, and repair services for industrial scales across the Midwest. The role involves hands-on field work, documenting calibration data, and building trusted customer relationships.

Requires strong mechanical/electronic background and the ability to travel as needed. Initial pay starts at $25/hour with opportunities for advancement based on experience and performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Strong mechanical, electronic, and/or technical experience in an industrial environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite and in-shop preventive maintenance on industrial scales and weighing systems.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and verify performance of industrial scales.
• Prepare for service visits by reviewing work orders, procedures, and required tools.
• Document services performed, calibration data, and findings using company software.
• Travel to customer facilities for field service support and overnight travel as needed.
