Job summary

Precision Point Metrics is seeking a Heavy-Duty Scale Technician to service industrial and truck scales, perform installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites across the region.

This full-time role requires mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in outdoor and indoor environments, with occasional travel and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail; quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and industrial environments.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools; ability to operate skid steers or similar equipment is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and resolve issues independently.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must currently hold a CDL (Class A or B with air brake endorsement) or be willing and able to obtain one.
• Willingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays.
• Availability for occasional weekend work; standard schedule is Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair heavy-duty truck and industrial scales.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
• Use specialized tools, calibration weights, and diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Operate vehicles and equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and lifting devices as required.
• Document service activities, calibration results, and maintenance records with precision.
• Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and internal team members.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional work ethic on all job sites.
• Manage time effectively to complete projects efficiently and meet service deadlines.
