Job summary

Precision Point Metrics is seeking a Heavy-Duty Scale Technician to service, install, calibrate, and repair industrial scales across regional customer sites. The role requires mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in varied environments.

The position is full-time in San Antonio, with a standard Monday–Friday schedule, potential overtime, and opportunities for training and development. Must have CDL or willingness to obtain one, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues independently.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and CDL (A or B with air brake) or be able to obtain one.
• Willingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays.
• Availability for occasional weekend work; standard schedule is Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair heavy-duty truck and industrial scales.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
• Use specialized tools, calibration weights, and diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Operate vehicles and equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and lifting devices as required.
• Document service activities and maintenance records with precision.
• Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and internal team members.
