Qualifications include a journey-level understanding of electrical theory, ability to read schematics, 4 years of related experience or an apprenticeship, and a valid Florida driver's license.

Qualifications

• This position is journey-level with ability to perform cable and wire activities independently.
• Workers must understand electrical theory and perform circuit diagnostics.
• Must read and understand electronic schematics.
• U.S. citizenship required with ability to pass NASA background check.
• Must pass initial and random drug testing.
• Must have and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, terminate and test vertical backbone and horizontal fiber optic and copper cable systems.
• Perform underground construction for cable path creation and modification.
• Install, splice, and terminate innerduct and multicell innerduct.
• Fabricate, assemble and install cable pathways including cable trays through facilities.
• Operate and monitor safety equipment and perform site safety checks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose cable systems using test equipment and schematics.
