Job summary

Cable-East, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Technician to install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cables across residential, commercial, and carrier environments.

The role requires comfort working outdoors in various conditions and travel within Georgia, reporting to the Metro E Supervisor. The position operates from Statham or Austell offices, with a day shift and potential for extended hours based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• 1–2 years in fiber optic installation or telecom construction.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cable per standards.
• Perform fusion splicing, connectorization, and enclosure installs.
• Test networks with OTDRs, light sources, and power meters.
• Read route maps and construction drawings to complete tasks.
• Follow OSHA, safety policies, and complete required documentation.
