Job summary

Americom Technologies LLC is seeking a Cable Technician I to support installation and service of structured cabling in commercial fiber and copper networks. This entry-level role works under a Lead Technician and involves physical labor, basic tool use, safety compliance, and documentation.

You will assist with routing, termination, labeling, testing, and field tasks across copper, fiber, and wireless systems, travel to multiple sites, and participate in safety meetings.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Must have valid Utah driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs. and work on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Install and route low-voltage cabling (voice, data, video) under supervision.
• Assist with termination, labeling, testing, and documentation of copper and fiber systems.
• Use hand and power tools safely; maintain tool inventory.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites, vehicles, and work areas.
• Support delivery, staging, and handling of materials and tools on-site.
• Complete administrative and field documentation (time cards, change orders).
• Participate in safety meetings and job hazard analysis.
