Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester/Work Planner to operate in outdoor field settings, perform patrols along energy corridors, and engage with landowners and agencies. Responsibilities include vegetation assessment, pruning decisions, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes independent work, ability to navigate diverse terrains, and collaboration with clients.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture, or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS software is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new programs.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Patrol Preparation: organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits; maintain documentation.
• Field Patrol Duties: safely patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection per client standards; classify work and conduct Tree Risk Assessments.
• Landowner & Stakeholder Engagement: communicate work plans to owners, agencies, and organizations; obtain permissions for vegetation work.
• Vegetation Management & Compliance: recommend sustainable strategies using IVM principles; audit contractor work; investigate tree-related outages.
• Coordination & Safety: coordinate non-routine work with stakeholders; report safety concerns; follow all safety protocols.
• Additional Responsibilities: participate in storm and emergency response; perform other duties as assigned.
