Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to join our outdoor team. This role involves patrolling energy corridors, assessing vegetation, and coordinating with landowners and agencies to ensure safe, compliant work.

The position emphasizes independent work, field-based tasks, and ongoing safety training, with a focus on using GIS tools and standard forestry practices to manage vegetation and reduce outages.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline (education may be required depending on client contract).
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification.

Responsibilities

• Safely patrol energy corridors on foot, identifying vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection per Client standards.
• Classify prescribed work in line with field environment and tree condition, including herbicide use.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Mark vegetation and prescribe clearance actions per Client directives and ANSI standards.
• Engage landowners and agencies, and provide professional customer service.
• Audit contractor work for compliance with Client specifications.
• Investigate tree-related outages and document findings.
• Coordinate non-routine work with stakeholders and contractors.
• Participate in storm and emergency response as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
