Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility infrastructure projects from pursuit through closeout.

You will oversee transmission, distribution, and substation construction with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, safety and client satisfaction. The role requires 1–7+ years in related construction management, strong leadership, and travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 1–7+ years in construction project management within transmission, distribution, utility, or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing project scope, cost, schedule and field execution.
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management/scheduling software (Primavera P6, HCSS, MS Project, or similar).
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel and support long‑term, onsite project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases.
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships.
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Support project planning for transmission line construction (structures, conductor, ROW).
• Promote and model Michels’ safety‑first culture across all operations.
