Job summary

Jobot is seeking a driven Account Manager to join our growing team in the petroleum industry. This role emphasizes new business development and territory growth, with a focus on expanding relationships and revenue within existing accounts.

The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-driven, and skilled at prospecting, building new customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and forming long-term partnerships. Expect ~50% travel and strong earning potential through base pay plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, territory sales, or business development.
• Experience in petroleum, fuel, energy, industrial, transportation, or related industries preferred.
• Proven success in hunting and developing new business.
• Proven ability to prospect, generate leads, and build relationships with new customers.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable managing a geographic territory and working independently.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer needs and identify revenue opportunities.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel approximately 50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory strategy focused on new customer acquisition and revenue growth.
• Prospect, identify, and develop relationships with new customers across the petroleum, fuel, and energy markets.
• Conduct outbound prospecting, cold calling, networking, customer visits, and other business development activities.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through negotiation, closing, and implementation.
• Build relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders within customer organizations.
• Identify opportunities to expand products and services within existing accounts.
• Maintain strong relationships with current customers while continuously looking for opportunities for account growth.
• Conduct regular in-person customer visits, site visits, and sales presentations.
• Understand customer operations and business needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Prepare proposals, pricing, presentations, and sales forecasts.
• Maintain accurate customer, prospect, pipeline, and activity information within CRM.
• Collaborate with internal operations, customer service, and leadership teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends to identify new opportunities.
• Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales, revenue, and business development goals.
