Job summary

Center for EcoTechnology is seeking a Business Engagement Specialist to connect businesses, institutions, and community partners with opportunities that advance waste reduction and energy efficiency.

You will build relationships through outreach, site visits, and partnerships, manage a robust pipeline in Salesforce, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to turn sustainability goals into action. The role is field-based and remote with travel in the New England region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Experience in outreach, business development, or customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct direct outreach to prospective customers and educate them on CET programs.
• Coordinate with value stream teams to ensure smooth handoffs and customer service excellence.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with stakeholder organizations to generate referrals.
• Maintain accurate records of leads and activities in Salesforce and report progress to managers.
• Travel regularly across CT, MA, RI and bordering states to engage communities.
