Job summary

Center for EcoTechnology is hiring a Business Engagement Specialist to connect businesses and institutions with waste reduction and energy efficiency solutions. You will manage outreach, partnerships, and CRM activities while supporting CET’s carbon reduction mission.

You will travel within CT, MA, RI and nearby states, building networks and turning sustainability goals into action through CET’s programs. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with 3–5 years in outreach or

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in outreach, business development, partnership development, or customer engagement.
• Comfort with initiating conversations with new prospects, including cold outreach.
• Bilingual or multilingual capabilities preferred (Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Mandarin, etc.).
• Experience with MS Office and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Conducts direct outreach to prospective customers for CET's waste reduction programs using calls, email, networking and visits.
• Works with Value Stream Managers to support handoffs and improve lead-to-project conversion.
• Identifies and cultivates relationships with stakeholder organizations that refer businesses and institutions to CET's programs.
• Maintains accurate records of leads, partner activity and customer communications in Salesforce and tracks pipeline progress.
