Job summary

PromptCare Companies Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to set up home care products including therapeutics, diagnostics, high-tech ventilation, oxygen and related equipment. This field-based role supports patients 24/7 in coordination with the department Manager.

The position is non-exempt, full-time, 40 hours/week, with on-call responsibilities and a schedule of Mon-Fri 9:00 am–5:30 pm. A driver’s license and vehicle insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory School.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state of employment and in good standing.
• Willing to cross-license in other states at the company’s expense.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
• At least 1 year experience as a working Respiratory Therapist.
• Home care experience is highly desirable.
• RRT certification required.
• CPR-BLS certification required.
• Adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes and other documentation electronically.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information and takes appropriate corrective actions regarding services to ensure satisfaction.
• Initiates and develops good working relationships with patients, family members and referral sources.
• Plans daily events to maximize time management and minimize travel time.
• Assists with scheduling of set ups and follow up visits per company policies.
• Coordinates patient discharges with RT Clinical Liaisons.
• Triages field problems according to company standards and training policies.
• Ensures proper documentation of patient concerns and timely corrective actions.
• Maintains knowledge of SOPs and ensures compliance with laws and SOPs.
• Fosters a white-glove service mindset for patients and families.
• Submits travel expense reports monthly and on time.
• On-call responsibilities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
