Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative - Residential Trade to cultivate and expand relationships with residential plumbing and HVAC professionals, builders, remodelers, and other trade customers in the San Jose and broader San Francisco Bay Area.

You will promote Ferguson's comprehensive portfolio of residential plumbing, HVAC, water heater and related building products, while traveling to job sites and customer locations to drive growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience selling to residential trade customers such as plumbing and HVAC contractors, builders or remodelers.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Problem solving, leadership and listening abilities.
• Strong digital literacy and self-motivation; able to multi-task.
• Willingness to travel locally within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with residential plumbing/HVAC contractors, builders, remodelers and other trade pros.
• Drive sales growth by promoting Ferguson's residential plumbing, HVAC, water heater, bath and kitchen products.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits, customer meetings, and contractor outreach to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with branch teams, showroom staff, vendor partners and support teams to deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Monitor local construction activity and remodeling trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Educate customers on new products, pricing programs, inventory solutions and value-added services.
• Develop and execute territory sales plans to increase spend, acquire new accounts and grow market share.
