State of Wisconsin's Department of Safety and Professional Services seeks an Occupational Safety Inspector 1 to conduct inspections of amusement rides, tattoos, mines, and public workplaces. The role supports investigations and variance reviews, and may require travel to multiple state headquarter counties.

Applicants should be experienced with OSHA standards and report writing, and able to communicate with owners and administrators to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience applying OSHA standards.
• Experience assisting customers with technical questions.
• Experience writing technical reports (e.g. progress reports).

Responsabilités

• Conduct inspections of amusement rides, ski lifts, tattoo and body art establishments, mines and public workplaces.
• Investigate job-related injuries and assist in investigations.
• Explain code requirements to owners and administrators; review variances.
