Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Specialty Representative in Psychiatry to cover Traverse City, MI and Northern Michigan. The role involves field-based sales execution, building relationships with providers, and delivering brand KPIs within a regulated framework.

A strong background in pharma sales and a degree in health/science or business is preferred. The candidate should be able to work within a matrix organization, possess excellent communication skills, and maintain HCIR credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
• Five (5) years of industry experience with three (3)+ years in pharma/health/science preferred; HS diploma/GED required
• In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen
• Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts selling approach
• Excellent selling and presentation skills; works well in a matrix environment
• English proficiency verbally and in writing; HCIR credentialing required; valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets and marketing objectives
• Create pre-call plans and post-call evaluations to improve sales results
• Build trusted customer relationships and address customer needs
• Develop call plans to maximize access and sales opportunities
• Share market insights with in-field and brand teams to align strategy
