Job summary

InterLinc Mortgage Services is seeking an Outside Loan Originator to source and close residential mortgage loans from borrowers seeking to purchase or refinance real estate. This role requires frequent work away from the office to engage with real estate professionals and clients.

The candidate will counsel borrowers on suitable loan programs, review credit documents, and ensure timely disclosure of estimates and documents while maintaining compliance with guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of mortgage guidelines (TRID, TILA, RESPA, HMDA, FCRA, ECOA).
• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in the sale of residential mortgage loan products.
• Build and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, title companies to generate business.
• Assess borrower creditworthiness by reviewing credit reports, tax returns and assets.
• Counsel borrowers on loan programs and educate them on the mortgage process.
• Originate loans, including pricing and locking, disclose Loan Estimates timely.
• Maintain current knowledge of agency and investor guidelines and banking laws.
• Follow up on leads and applications, ensure items meet deadlines.
• Provide superior customer service to achieve satisfaction.
