Job summary

Fortify Companies is seeking a Mitigation Project Manager to lead emergency restoration projects for families and businesses impacted by fire, water, mold, wind, and storms. You will own the project lifecycle from inspection to final walk-through, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and in line with company standards.

You will coordinate with crews, negotiate with insurers/clients, and drive profitability while maintaining client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in restoration, mitigation, or related construction field.
• Proven ability to scope losses and write accurate estimates.
• Strong understanding of insurance restoration processes.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple active projects.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications (Mold, Fire, OSHA, Biohazard, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Inspect losses and determine scopes of mitigation services and costs.
• Prepare detailed estimates for restoration losses.
• Manage ~$1M+ in annual project volume.
• Reach agreement with insurance adjusters/clients on scope and pricing.
• Define project expectations, inclusions/exclusions, and finished results.
• Obtain signed contracts and close restoration-related sales.
• Develop production budgets and pre-plan jobs for efficient execution.
• Coordinate daily production needs with the Project Coordinator.
• Relay scope to Crew Chiefs and Technicians; provide field support.
• Oversee all production on assigned projects and ensure quality control.
• Conduct final walkthroughs with Crew Chiefs for client satisfaction.
• Complete change orders and open item billings; assist with collections.
• Track equipment/materials; analyze profitability; maintain weekly reports.
• Attend weekly update meetings with A/R and management.
• Document daily notes in PSA per workflow policies.
